How managed hosting works

You own the machine. We rack it in Asia or the US and give it power, cooling, a network and people who can put hands on it, and we keep a record of everything we do.

Exclusive bare metal. Your hardware is never shared, and you get full root access.

You own it and have full root access. We provide rack space, power, network, monitoring and remote hands.

Management & rack costs $99 per unit per month.

From order to running machine

  1. Pre-order and invoice

    You place a pre-order. We confirm availability and send an invoice. Nothing is charged online.

  2. Burn-in and rack in Asia or the US

    When your machine arrives we record its serial number and condition, test it under load and rack it. Each step goes in its custody log.

  3. Run it remotely

    You get private remote access with full root. We monitor temperature, disks and reachability and act when something looks wrong.

  4. Leave when you want

    Ask us to ship it to you at any time. Management cancels on 30 days' notice.

Every machine is exclusive bare metal: never shared, with full root access. We look after everything below the operating system.

Your machine is racked and managed by us in Asia or the US. Ask us which facility and what physical security it has before you pay.

When hardware fails

Monitoring covers temperature, disks and reachability, and we act when something looks wrong, within the four-business-hour response target. Remote hands can work on the machine on your behalf, with 15 minutes a month included.

Warranty and replacement terms for your machine are confirmed with your quote.

Taking delivery

You can ask for your machine at any time. We aim to dispatch within five business days once you've authorized what happens to your data, packing is arranged and the shipment has cleared compliance checks.

  • Packing and handling, insured freight and taxes are charged as disclosed in your quote
  • Worldwide delivery, subject to export and customs rules
  • Your data stays on the machine until you authorize a wipe
